The Internet Community is buzzing Social Bookmarking. What is it exactly? When you list a site in your bookmark list, anyone looking for that same type of information can do a search at the bookmark site and find the sites that you have bookmarked. It is like a search engine without all the trash.For all intents and purposes- Social Bookmarking sites are not that much different to Search Engines but they offer users so much more than the traditional Search Engine site. When you go to the tag area of a Social Bookmarking site – the site will show a “tag cloud”. Social Bookmarking is FAST becoming ‘THE Way’ to generate hordes of FREE and super laser targeted traffic to your websites!.Social Bookmarking Tags don’t all have to be words in common use but using multipurpose tags will make it easier to find information when you search. Maybe Social bookmarking is not the biggest breakthrough to hit the Internet but still a good option to have if you also sign up to that website. While we’re browsing we often find resources that we don’t want to look at now but which may be useful later. Put Social Bookmarking on Full Autopilot!If you have a website you can easily add (assuming you do your own webmastering or know the rudiments of copying and pasting) a “save this page” to any and all of your important webpages within your site. I get a goodly amount of traffic from social bookmarking sites like technorati as well but I would call that site a business bookmarking site so I’m not going to mention it here.The simplicity of Social bookmarking websites allow you to save bookmarks online and Tag/Categorize them with keywords instead of saving them as bookmarks in the favorite’s list of your browser. Using Social Bookmarking is a way you can aggressively and ethically promote your content and the content of others. If you don’t put notes on your bookmarked tags – use the comments field for that purpose. Put Social Bookmarking on Autopilot!
